Some cookies are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of a Web site and cannot contain viruses or damage the device. Others serve for diverse purposes, such as favoring cross-page browsing, storing the user’s preferred language, allowing a Web site to remember preferences as a user, or detecting if you have previously visited it.

¿What type of cookies are used in this website?
In particular, browsing this website can lead to the installation of the following types of cookies classified according to (a) the entity that manages them, (B) the time frame that they remain stored in the client’s browser and (C) according to the purpose for which the obtained data is processed:
- There is a first classification between two types of cookies: the website cookies and third-party cookies. This distinction is made according to whoever is the entity that manages the domain from where the cookies are sent and processes the obtained data:
The website cookies: those that are sent to the user’s terminal computer from a computer or domain managed by the publisher and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third-party cookies: those that are sent to the user’s terminal computer from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but rather by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
- Likewise, there is a second classification according to the time that they remain stored in the client’s browser, either being session cookies or persistent cookies:
B1. Session cookies: They are a type of cookie designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a Web page. They are usually used to store information that is only interested in maintaining data for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g. a list of products purchased).
B2. Persistent cookies: They are a type of cookie in which the data remains stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the entity responsible for the cookie and can continue from a few minutes to several years.
- In third and last place another classification can be made with five types of cookies according to the purpose for which the obtained data is processed: technical cookies, personalization cookies, analysis cookies, advertising cookies and behavioral advertising cookies:
Technical cookies: These are those that allow the user to navigate through a Web page, platform or application and use the different options or services that exist in it, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing parts of restricted access, remembering the elements that make up an order, carrying out the process of purchasing an order, making the application for registration or participation in an event, using security elements during the browsing, storing content for the dissemination of videos or sound or sharing content through social networks.
Customization Cookies: These are those that allow the user to access the service with some predefined general characteristics according to a series of criteria in the user’s terminal such as the language, the type of browser through which it accesses the service, the regional configuration from where it accesses the service, etc.
Analysis Cookies: These are those that allow the entity responsible for them, to monitor and analyze the behavior of the users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected by this type of cookie is used in the measurement of the activity of the web sites, application or platform and for the elaboration of navigation profiles of the users of such sites, applications and platforms, in order to make improvements based on the analysis of the usage data of the service users. With regard to the processing of data collected through the analysis cookies, the working group of article 29 has stated that, although they are not exempt from the duty to obtain informed consent for their use, they are unlikely to represent a risk to the privacy of users provided that they are first-party cookies, that they deal with aggregate data with a strictly statistical purpose, that information about their use is supplied and to include the possibility for users to express their refusal of use.
Advertising cookies: They are those that allow the management, in the most effective way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the publisher has included in a web page, application or platform from which it provides the requested service based on criteria like the edited content or the frequency in which the ads are displayed. Behavioral Advertising Cookies: These are those that allow the management, in the most effective way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the publisher has included in a web page, application or platform from which it provides the requested service. These cookies store information about the behavior of the users obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile and the showing of advertising according to this profile.
